The start of my fertility treatment

I went to see Dr Surinder in TMC Kota Damansara. He is a friendly and humble doctor.
From my HSG film that I took at SJMC last Aug, he was able to tell me (which the Dr at SJMC and Dr Prashant didn't notice) that my left fallopian tube is 'a bit' blocked - can see a narrower flow of dye from the uterus to my left fallopian tube compared to the right tube.

I was prescribed with Clomid - a medicine to stimulate the growth of egg follicles. I had to start clomid on my 2nd day of next period.

Total cost: RM325.00

Started Clomid. Didn't have much of the side effects as described in many of the internet sites.

Appointment with Dr Surinder at 7.15pm. Yes! TMC has night clinics for most of the specialist services.
When we arrived, Dr Surinder was still in the Operation Theatre, so we waited until 8.30pm. Surprisingly, there were abour 3 patients waiting to see him at night. I was lucky I was the first to be called.

Vaginal Scan Result:
Left Tube: 1 follicle - 22mm
Right Tube: 3 follicles - 16.5mm

Doctor told me I responded very well towards Clomid. I just have to go home and do the baby making on the next following 2 days. However, an injection is needed to increase the maturity of the eggs. Nurse injected me with Pregnyl (Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG)). The injection is really painful (1 inch below my belly button). Now I realised why my colleague had to help his wife to inject during their IVF cycle. If I were the IVF patient, I don't think I will have the guts to inject myself.

Now I start my 2 weeks wait.
